WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR CHEF & COOK? ​ Our CHEFS are professionally certified and trained in top culinary schools like Hospitality business school, Red dish chronicles and have worked in 4 & 5 star hotels/restaurants like Bon hotel, Fraser suites, Moscow, Hustle & Bustle etc. With our private chef service, not only will you have access to weekly personalised meal plan, Our chefs will style your meal like they do in full-service restaurants, you will also enjoy a broader range of continental cuisines, local dishes and gourmet meals. While our private COOKS are trained by us and some have worked and trained with other smaller food establishments/vendors like chicken republic, grubs & chops etc. They will treat you to old favourites like the ikokore from Ogun state, kkf from Bayelsa and other different local dishes from the Southern, Eastern and Western part of Nigeria, coupled with a very limited number of continental meals.

IS IT CHEAPER TO HIRE YOUR CHEF OR BUY FOOD? Having a private chef is considered luxury or the service only the elites can afford. However, this is only a myth. With Kimolar private chef and cook service, you will get the absolute value for your money. And our rates are flexible with various packages for everyone including working singles. The average monthly cost of feeding for a single person buying food and eating out daily as at year 2021 is roughly NGN250,000, while that of a family of 4 is NGN990,000 considering spending an average of eight thousand naira daily for 2 sqaured meal for 31 days of the month. If you compare this with our average monthly cost of hiring a chef or cook, including cost of groceries, you will find that you are spending far less. Hiring our private chefs not only relieves you of stress, but you also enjoy lower cost, more varieties of dish, personalised menu and even restaurant-style dished setting all in the comfort of your home. You can’t find this elsewhere!

CAN I GIFT OUT A DINNER SERVICE? YES! With the personal chef (Private Dining) service, you can surprise your loved ones and make them feel loved and appreciated by your thoughtfulness. However, there has to be someone in the house we can liase with to make it work out perfectly

HOW LONG AFTER I BOOK DO I GET THE CHEF/COOK, CLEANER/HOUSEKEEPER? A 70% deposit and signed business agreement is required in order to refer to your request as confirmed booking. It is advisable to make your reservation at least 72hrs prior to allow us schedule you for consultation, schedule available representative(s) and get business agreement signed. However, in the case of special events or specific request, to allow for proper preparation, availability of staff and accommodation of changes, please book far in advance to the event date.

CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS & PAUSING HIRED SERVICE Once you have booked a start date for your Monthly/Weekly hired service, if you need to reschedule or cancel, we will always do our best to help. If you confirm your cancellation at least 2 weeks before the expected resumption date, you will receive a full refund minus 10% of the invoiced amount for our administration charge. Very rarely will there be a delay in the arrival of your hired service, or we may need to cancel your booking for reasons beyond our control, such as adverse flood, sudden illness, national curfew, unavailability or breakdown of transport or equipment. We will do our best to notify you as soon as possible and arrange another team member to get the job done, however, if our hired staff doesn't show up on any day of duty, there will be extended hours or days of work to make up for missed day(s). Should this not be possible, you will receive a full refund for the number of days missed. In situations where you must travel or not need your hired service for a couple of days/weeks, the agreed monthly service fee will neither be altered, nor the number of days missed be made up for.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW BEFORE HIRING YOUR STAFF TO LIVE IN WITH ME ? For hybrid requests such as live in chef/cook/housekeeper/cleaner, we understand that our representatives will be offering more of their time in service and as such, have a restricted or limited private life outside of work. These extra hours and service is compensated for by you, through; (i) Provision of a suitable accommodation (private room/BQ/staff qtrs) and (ii) Provision of at least 2 meals daily to the hired staff. All full time live-in staff have at least one fixed day off work per week (i.e work is 6days a week). In addition to this, our representatives, like any other profession, do not work round the clock. Request for services beyond 14hours and latest 9pm (whichever comes first} will be considered on an individual basis and will incur an overtime fee of NGN3,000 per hour. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated to maintain a balanced work environment for our representatives. However, for special circumstances, please contact us in advance for possible accommodation during reasonable working hours.

CAN YOUR CHEFS PREPARE FOODS FOR SPECIAL DIETS SUCH AS DIABETIC / HBP ? Absolutely! However please note that we have a very limited number of certified Master Chefs for special diets. It is advisable to book far in advance for availability of special diet Master chefs.

CAN I HAVE A MONTHLY PACKAGE FOR FOOD DELIVERY INSTEAD OF HAVING THE CHEF COME COOK IN MY KITCHEN? Absolutely! For the monthly or weekly private chef meal plan, if you prefer, our chefs can cook your meals right from our kitchen and have it delivered to your doorstep all week long. All you have to do is simple… Just schedule a consultation, approve your meal plan and confirm your start date, pay the deposit, relax and enjoy your delicious luxury packed foods delivered anywhere you want within Abuja only.

HOW MUCH IS THE PRIVATE COOKING CLASS? Our private classes ranges from beginner to intermediate level, and rates are from NGN60,000. Classes can be had in the comfort of your home or virtually To monetise your cooking skills and turn your passion into profit, join the waitlist for the 10-days culinary workshop and learn all the marketing and business-know-how to propel your budding food business forward or become a part of the kimolar team as a private cook.
